Step Bolts for Infrastructure
Step Bolts are essential components used for a variety of applications, specifically designed for Steel Communication, Electrical Transmission Towers, and Tower Reinforcement. These high-strength fasteners feature low carbon steel bodies and are ideal for use with heavy hex nuts in demanding fastening jobs.

| Bolt Diameter | D (Head Diameter) | F (Head Height) | H (Step Length) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5⁄8" | 0.652 | 2" ± 1⁄8" | 1/2" ± 1⁄8" |
| 3⁄4" | 0.75 | 2" ± 1⁄8" | 1/2" ± 1⁄8" |
The ASTM A394 Specification covers chemical and mechanical requirements for hexagon and square-head zinc-coated steel bolts. These are specifically manufactured for atmospheric corrosion resistance in the construction of:

Bolt Types Classification:
Type 0: Hot-dip zinc-coated bolts (Low or medium carbon steel).
Type 1: Medium carbon steel, quenched and tempered.
Type 2 & 3: Bare or quenched/tempered bolts made of weathering steel.
Standard step bolts are manufactured in 5/8″ and 3/4″ diameters. They are typically provided with heavy hex nuts to ensure secure installation against the thread run out. The unthreaded shank (step length) typically ranges from 6″ to 10″.
